Hi, my name is Juliet.

I am based in Florida but was born in Havana, Cuba. My family and I immigrated to the US in 1994 during the Cuban rafter crisis.
I have been painting and drawing since I was little. One of my first memories of creating art is in middle school where I would draw and color Sailor Moon characters. In high school I took some art classes and that’s when I first tried acrylic and fell in love. I remember being absolutely fascinated with how mixing colors worked. I enjoyed oils as well but always preferred acrylics for their quick drying time and simplicity.
After high school I painted portraits in acrylics and also pursued photography. But eventually left all art endeavors behind until after my son was born.
Then in 2012 I started an Instagram account and started posting my paintings in watercolors and that’s the medium that I mainly stuck to on and off until 2021. That’s when I started giving acrylics another try. At first I started doing abstract works and slowly transitioned to painting landscapes with a mix of impressionism and realism. My biggest inspirations are Claude Monet, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot and Charles-François Daubigny.
